Description
Aerial view of two shopping centers in the early 1960s. In the upper center is Valley Fair Shopping Center anchored by Macy's. To the left of Valley Fair is the Emporium Store before it became part of Valley Fair. The buildings with the red roofs in the center of the card is Town And Country Village Shopping Center. Below Town And Country Shopping Village are the grounds of the Winchester Mystery House. The vacant land which is labeled "Winchester Mystery House" is where the Century Theaters now stand. The street running north/south past the Winchester Mystery House and Town And Country Village is Winchester Boulevard. The street running east/west past Valley Fair is Stevens Creek Boulevard. At the east end of Stevens Creek Boulevard the interchange to Highway 17 is under construction. Town And Country Village would be demolished and replaced by Santana Row.
