Description
Photograph of crates of citrus being loaded onto the Annie Johnson Stockholm, Los Angeles, March 16, 1931. Piles of lumber lie behind thick rope on the hull of the ship in the foreground while three men stand near machinery of the ship on the left. One man with long hair and a dark suit walks by from the left while the other two stand in overalls and hats behind the pulley system that appears to hold a wooden platform stacked with crates of oranges at center. Two cylindrical towers seem to assist the pulley system from the left while ropes and pipes of the ship can be seen behind them in the background.
