Photograph caption dated February 26, 1962 reads "But his family lives in a 'state of terror'." The article partially reads "For a long time the Rev. John Simmons has been a vocal opponent of the radical right wing. And he has been accustomed to living under some tension caused, in his opinion, by acts of this group. Anonymous phone calls at all hours, for example. But since a shattering explosion late Feb. 1 at his North Hollywood home, Mr. Simmons says: 'We've lived in a complete state of terror.'" Simmons is the administrator of the Pacoima Memorial Lutheran Hospital.
