Description
Photograph of a panoramic view of Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, looking west from Minnesota Street, 3 February 1910. There are many houses, trees and roads, which form this residential neighborhood. In the foreground, there are a lot of shrubs and bushes. Just beyond the foreground vegetation, several houses line Eastlake Avenue which curves around a grassy oval island known as the Ela Park which is located little northwest of Abraham Lincoln High School. The houses in the extreme foreground are on Minnesota Street, while the small tree-lined street that intersects with Eastlake Avenue at the corner of the park is George Street. Numerous other houses in the background and more thick vegetation at right comprise the community. A copse of trees occupies undeveloped land in the distance beyond a long railroad bridge. Legible signs include: "La Preferencia".
