Description
Soldiers wearing doughboy hats and traditional caps march with sailors down K Street at Ninth during this 1920 parade as a color guard leads the way. Row upon row of marching military personnel fill the street and a very large crowd of spectators line K Street on both sides. The marquee on the Sequoia Theatre (909 K Street) announces ""'The Mutiny of the Elsinore' now playing,"" a second sign states ""Douglas Fairbanks now playing."" Numerous businesses line K Street: Chinn-Beretta Optical Company (901 K Street), Purnell's Stationery (915 K Street), Hotel Clunie (805 K Street), Hale Brothers Department Store (825 K Street), and the Sequoia Hotel (911 K Street).
