Photograph of turbine generators in a water power plant of Southern California Edison Company, ca.1929. A large cylindrical machine sits in the center with a conical shaped top. There are two levels of guard rails around the top while a device is attached to the left. To the right, a funnel extends out of the machine and into the wall. Two more identical machines sit behind the first one. Long rectangular windows on the right and in the back allow light to flow in.
