Description
Survey of a two-story Monterey style painted stucco house. An interesting feature of the house is the second story balcony under roof overhang, which runs almost the entire length of the house with exposed support beams below. Commonly known as the McAllister House, the home was initially built in 1928 by Marston & Marbury for the McKenna family. The house is very architecturally significant and according to Robert Winter in his book "Architecture in Los Angeles and Southern California," it is a fulsome expression of the Monterey Revival on an absolutely beautiful elm-lined street.
