Description
Photograph of workers dumping sugar beets into v-shaped bins, Visalia, Tulare County, California, ca.1900. Two men standing on top of a wooden platform (or wagon?) pause from their shoveling work. Beyond the v-shaped bin, to the right, is a huge stockpile of sugar beats. Nearby is are several manufacturing or processing plants. One plant, of simple construction, has exhaust vents (chimneys?) and unidentifiable contraptions on its roof.
