Plates in: [Album of San Francisco [photograph album] : a collection of miscellaneous photographs of places, events and persons of San Francisco, 1836-1927], Vol. 1, pg. 37, center, left.
This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Shows building, tents, men, women and children. Caption reads - "bounded by Dupont, Stockton, Sacramento & Clay Sts. Jacob Primer Leese came to Cal - from Ohio in 1833. American flag was hoisted at this celebration for the first time in San Francisco."
