Description
Photograph caption dated October 29, 1986 reads, "Marta Oryshchyn, is very happy to be alive after her Honda was rear-ended and shoved beneath a truck traveling in front of her." A multivehicle collision and an attempted suicide within 20 minutes of each other slowed rush-hour motorists on the northbound San Diego Freeway, bringing traffic to a crawl for at least eight hours. At least 7 people were injured in the massive pileup near Valley Vista Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.
