Daryl Carlson was assistant manager of J. J. Newberry store at 18215 Sherman Way. Photograph of robbery suspects, Ray W. Avins and Ann Marie Darden being questioned by police can be found by title "Questioning of robbery suspects."
Photograph caption dated July 17, 1959 reads, "Holdup victim. Daryl Carlson, 25, assistant manager of Reseda five and 10 cent store, shows gag and cords bandit used to hold him up today and escape with $2,000 from safe."
