Description
Photograph of the Hilario Ybara residence on upper Main Street, Los Angeles, 1905. In the foreground, three children stand on the sidewalk along a cobblestone street. The boy, to the left, is barefoot and dressed in overalls and a long-sleeved shirt. He stands apart from the two girls, both of which have shoes. The first is wearing a solid-colored dress while the second has a dress with striped hem and a striped collar. Both girls wear bows to the right side of their hair. The building behind them is a long, one-story strip of what appear to be apartments with identical doors and front steps, save for the double-door directly behind the children which appears to be made out of wood boards. A telephone pole is visible to the extreme right, in front of a sign that reads "Extra Pale Lager".
