Photograph of a view of Hill Street from the roof of the Chamber of Commerce building in Los Angeles, May 1937. Hill Street runs from the foreground to the background at center and is a wide paved road with streetcar tracks running down the middle. A large parking lot can be seen in the foreground at right, while buildings line the road in the background. A very tall brick building is visible in the foreground at left. A large number of early-model automobiles can be seen on the streets of the city.
