Description
Musician Dave Alvin stands backstage at The Echo Club in Echo Park, California, where he is scheduled to perform with fellow band members of the musical group "X". In 1979, Dave along with his older brother Phil, formed the rock group The Blasters. Dave left the Blasters in 1986. Shortly after, he joined the group X as lead guitarist. Apart from being an accomplished guitarist, he is also a singer, songwriter, and author. Alvin has had at least two poetry books published. Photo dated: October 10, 2004.
