Photograph caption dated August 4, 1962 reads, "Mrs. Howard S. Helm, center, representative of the Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club in Tarzana, assists Fred Stanton, Chamber Committee chairman, in signing a petition asking the City Department of Recreation and Parks to act to complete a promised $300,000 park and community clubhouse. Mrs. Halley Jordan, left, representative of the Tarzana Women's Club, and Mrs. Ernie Ball, back, representative of the Republican's Women's Club, also want to know when Tarzana will get its promised park."
