Photograph caption date stamped April 17, 1961 reads, "Dr. Jack Rubin won the El Caballero Country Club men's club golf championship yesterday by defeating Tom Gries one up on the 37th hole. Dr. Rubin was one up at the end of the 18-hole morning round; Gries battled back to be all even at the end of 27 holes on the 36-hole match. Dr. Rubin was champion two years ago."
