Photograph caption dated August 18, 1958 reads, "Bruce Briggs, 18, right, 7017 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Canoga Park, points to blazed trail at San Fernando Valley Boy Scout Council's Camp Whitsett in High Sierras. Noting clues in reading trail markings is Martin Jones, 11, 4906 Gaviota Ave., Encino. More than 1,600 Scouts and Explorers from Valley communities take part in swimming, handicraft and other activities at Council-operated camp."
