Description
Installation of the East girder of the 100-inch telescope fork, Mount Wilson Observatory. The fork girder is held in place with chains attached to pulleys. The float is seen at the underside of the frok's arm, near the bottom leaft-hand corner of the photograph. Scaffolding is seen beneath the fork. The interior walls of the observatory are seen in the background.
