Title
BD in Theology, Rev. Frederik Wilhelm Steinthal (1862-1951), and wife, Thyra Steinthal, born Mø

Description
BD in Theology, Rev. Frederik Wilhelm Steinthal (1862-1951), and wife, Thyra Steinthal, born Møller (1861-1952). In 1897 Thyra and F. W. Steinthal went to India, for work among students at Calcutta, 1898-1913. From 1913 they were sent by Danish Santal Mission to Benagaria, Santalistan, North India. Here Rev. F. W. Steinthal from 1916 served as principal of the Benagaria Bible School, with theological education of pastors and evangelists. Although being blind since 1901, Rev. Steinthal - well supported by his wife – served with zeal and excellence, until their return to Denmark in 1928.
