Photograph article dated August 11, 1960 partially reads, "Enplaning Saturday via SAS for Ankara, Turkey, are Dr. and Mrs. Paul A. Dodd of Sherman Oaks. Dean of the College of Letters and Sciences at UCLA, Dr. Dodd will be on a one-year sabbatical leave from the Westwood campus to serve as special consultant for the new Middle East Technical University... While Mrs. Dodd has no specific duties to perform in conjunction with her husband's work, she is aware that the academic life usually includes the wife in activities. In fact, probably her first project, in addition to taking a Turkish language course, will be to assist with the formation of a faculty woman's club. Mrs. Dodd is well qualified to work with such a group as she has been active with the UCLA faculty women for many years and was named 1960-61 president, but relinquished the gavel at her second board meeting due to this impending trip."
