Description
The queen and her court sit on the Burbank float as the Rose Parade crosses Vernon Avenue on its way to Sierra Madre. It's such a full crowd that people are on rooftops of businesses (Johnson Motors, Verne Orr Chrysler/Playmouth, Rolls Royce) that line the street. A sign for "Alternate California U.S. 66" is on the intersection. Photo dated: Jan. 3, 1956.
