Description
Note: "Frau Spellenberg spielend mit ihren Kindern und mit Negermädchen auf der Station Nyasoso." (E-30-0,2). Note translation: "Mrs Spellenberg playing with her own children and with African girls on the mission station in Nyasoso." (E-30-0,2). - NB however, the other print of this photograph ("same positive on disc") places it in Bonaberi (Duala) which in view of what looks like a river in the background seems more plausible. But did the Spellenbergs have so many children when they were in Duala? Are we looking at mist in a valley? Is there a valley on the side of the Nyasoso mission station away from Kupe? (PJ 04.2001).
