Photograph article dated June 14, 1962 partially reads, "Ray Scharf, the Teamster among the Valley area delegates to the Democratic National Convention, says its no use talking about legislation for the working man if you don't have good legislators. The Antelope Valley man's conviction led him into politics in 1948. Scharf, of 1815 Sweetbrier Ave., Palmdale, is secretary-treasurer of Local 982 of the Teamsters Union."
