Photograph article dated February 1, 1965 partially reads, "Burbank Police Lt. Al Ostroff formally ended a 24-year career with the department Friday. Ostroff, head of the Traffic Division for the past two years, was honored by Chief Rex Andrews, fellow officers, and other city officials at 'surprise' retirement ceremonies in the police building. Lt. Ostroff told the group his retirement from the force did not mean the end of his investigative career. He said he hoped to become a private investigator for a law firm or insurance company." Photograph caption reads, "In appreciation - Burbank Police Lt. Al Ostroff, left, receives gold badge from Chief Rex Andrews at dinner Friday marking his retirement from force after 24 years."
