Description: "Frk. Njerve og frk. Rasmussen taget paa Andafiatsimo paa vei hjem" ("Miss Njerve and Miss Rasmussen on their way home"). Standing to the left: Amalie Njerve. She was a teacher in Madagascar from 1889-1922. Sitting on the carrying chair :Marie Rasmussen. She was a teacher in Madagascar from 1880-1900. She was sick on her travel back to Norway and died onboard the French steamship near Mayotte on June 24, 1900. Her grave is in Mayotte.
