Description
Photograph of a log cabin bungalow with large tree trunks for supports around the wrap-around porch, ca.1905. A local curiosity refered to as the "Log House" built on the corner of Adams Boulevard and Normandie Street, Los Angeles. There is a well-groomed lawn and paved walk in front. The porch of the wide, tiki bungalow sports an overhang supported by a colonnade made from tree trunks. The foundation for the porch is built from stacked, jagged stones and mortar. Bushes and climbing plants surround the sides and line the front of the house. The lawn is well trimmed, through which a cobblestone walkway cuts to the entrance of the house. A driveway can be seen to the right. Tree foliage hangs in from the left.
