Photograph caption dated October 24, 1958 reads, "This view looking toward the Valley's new steam plant, shows junction of Pacoima Wash and Big Tujunga channel. Channeling of Pacoima Wash is nearing completion and should be ready in time to divert waters from Van Nuys business and residential areas into the Los Angeles River."
