Looking southwest from near the Civic Center towards Bunker Hill, which has been cleared and graded in preparation for construction. Most of Grand Avenue (center) is bare, except for a few office buildings on the left such as the Pacific Telephone Tower (later to become the AT&T Switching Station). The ARCO Towers and the Union Bank office building are present in the background.
