Description
Left side view of the James Marshall monument at the Marshall Gold Discovery State Park, Coloma, California. Inscription on plaque reads, "Commissioned for the State - A. Caminetti, John H. Miller, George Hofmeister, H.C. Gesford - The site of this monument is a gift to the State of California from Placerville Parlor, N. S. G. W." The statue was the work of sculptor Francis Marion Wells.
