Photograph article dated November 23, 1960 partially reads, "Unemployed dump truck driver Sheldon J. Goldfin...is in the West Valley jail on suspicion of armed robbery after being thwarted Tuesday afternoon in an effort to escape with $3,560 from the First Western Bank, 19740 Ventura Blvd., Tarzana. Goldfin...was chased and captured less than 200 yards from the front door of the bank, after pretending to have a gun to force a teller to give him the money. He told West Valley Det. Sgt. George Murphy he had been out of work for two months and needed the money to make long-overdue payments on his house and car to keep from losing them."
