Photograph was edited for publication purposes Tom Hatten was born November 14, 1927 in North Dakota. He is an American radio, film and television personality, known as the long-time host of The Popeye Show and the Family Film Festival on KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles from the 1960s through the '80s. Hatten was an award-winning entertainment reporter for KNX 1070 Newsradio in Los Angeles and has appeared in dozens of musicals, movies and television shows. Photograph caption dated March 19, 1962 reads "Carpenter Avenue School PTA, Studio City, will take over the Cameo Theater in Hollywood Friday to view a presentation of 'Man in a Dog Suit,' starring television personality Tom Hatten. In dog's suit, selling tickets to Mmes. Harry Vickman, president; Leroy Dearing and Lloyd Anthony, theater party chairmen, from left. Curtain time is 8:30 p.m., and refreshments will be served in patio during intermission. Tickets for PTA's spring event are $2.75 per person." The Cameo Theater was located at 8365 Sunset Boulevard inw hat is now West Hollywood.
