Photograph caption dated January 1, 1957 reads "Lacy floral wonderland was Olympian backdrop for mythical Greek goddess Thallo, portrayed by Colleen Cummings in city of Glendale float, second place winner in its class. Colleen stood on carpet of gordenias (sic) with fanciful tree in background, decorated with pink stock and vanda orchids. Goddess was flanked by two strutting peacocks made of narcissus, white orchids and carnation petals.
