Photograph of workmen laying a gas pipe in the University District, September 1928. Two men can be seen shoveling dirt out of a long ditch at right that continues into the background. A dirt road can be seen to the left of the ditch, while the road is lined with trees and utility poles. A man can be seen to the left of a roadblock in front of a pile of dirt in the street at left. Homes can be seen in the background. Photoprint reads, "Destoryed 7/87".
