Photograph was edited for publication purposes and has several light colored stains. The name of the library was changed from North Hollywood Sidney Lanier Regional Branch to North Hollywood Amelia M. Earhart Regional Branch in 1980. Photograph caption dated November 22, 1963 reads "Amy Mann, 4, reads about what the grinch did." The article partially reads "Miss Pleasants, new regional senior children's librarian for the East Valley area of the city library department, says she reads a great number of children's books in her job. Miss Pleasants moved to her new North Hollywood office this week from the Memorial Branch Library."
