Photograph caption dated May 14, 1964 reads, "Valley committee members of the Spastic Children's League will honor their husbands with a cocktail buffet Saturday evening in the Los Angeles home of Mr. and Mrs. Nickolas Shammas. Discussing the event over coffee are Mrs. William Dehn, center, Studio City, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo V. Micko, Studio City. Mrs. C. Andrew Petas, social chairman, has planned a social hour at 7 p.m. followed by dinner and dancing. Greeting guests with Mr. and Mrs. Petas will be Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Mendenhall and Mr. and Mrs. Nickolas Shammas. Mrs. Mendenhall is league president. The committee supports the Valley Child Development Center in Van Nuys and the Spastic Children's Foundation Training Center, Los Angeles."
