Lobby, Belasco Theatre, floor. Space features ornamental floor and walls with movie posters and ticket booth window. Marquee reads: "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes". Architect: Morgan, Walls and Clements. Mott no. 88 refers to Lockwood-Shackelford, advertising. Built by Frederic and Edward Belasco, located at 337 S. Main Street. Construction was completed in 1926, when renamed the Follies. Opening night, November 11, 1926, featured the play, Gentlemen prefer blondes. File proof no.: k-2-d. 1992-2641 (88-130) -- 1992-2642 (88-130) -- 1992-2643 (88-130).
