Description
Long Beach Casting Club located at Recreation Park in Long Beach. Children used this casting pond as a pool for wading and swimming, as seen on the left side of the photo. This sprawling 210.9-acre park in the southeast section of Long Beach is home to an 18 and 9-hole golf course, a community center, a baseball field, a dog park, lawn bowling green, and the usual amenities found in most parks. Recreation Park is located at 4900 E. 7th Street. April 3, 1937.
