Photograph article dated August 15, 1960 partially reads, "'Goodbye smog!' was the happy cry of a San Fernando inventor in his 80's when he finally got a patent last year on his intricate machine for ridding the Los Angeles air of noxious fumes. 'Goodby [sic] smog!' is his cry today, only the smog isn't going - he is. James Woods, 83, is leaving his San Fernando home of 31 years because he's 'fed up - up to here!' Woods feels his brainchild has been 'completely ignored' by Smith Griswold, APCD chief, and by Los Angeles County Supervisor Warren M. Dorn."
