Description
Contains a casual interview between George Johnson (ex-hobo) and Eddy Blair (hobo) talking with Hood River Blackie about their hobo adventures in the Pacific Northwest and Texas. All of them were migrant apple pickers moving from harvest-to-harvest throughout Yakima, Wenatchee, Cashmere, and the Columbia River Gorge. They would sometimes even travel as far east as Mitchell, South Dakota and Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Topics of conversation include how to avoid the railroad bulls (special agents) and how to avoid being thrown in jail for vagrancy. There are also tales of drinking and how they fought off the cold weather.
