Description
This 1941 photograph captures the Sacramento River waterfront looking south from the confluence with the American River, which can be seen just in front of the wing. The comment on the back indicates this was taken on a flight between McClellan Air Force Base and Hamilton Air Base, near Novato, California. The unknown writer calls attention to the "big draw bridge" - the Tower Bridge, which had been completed a few years earlier.
