Description
Los Angeles: Paying a visit to the Los Angeles Press Club, where elaborate tabulation for the election returns had been set up, Republican Richard Nixon, candidate for U.S. Senator, waves to the crowd before the board that shows he is leading his opponent. Nixon was victorious over his running adversary, Democrat Helen Gahagan Douglas, by a comfortable margin.
