Description
"Ein Kaffer-Mädchen aus Silo. Dienstmädchen bei Missionar Wetzel" (''A Kaffir girl from Silo. A maidservant at the missionary Wetzel"). A woman is wearing a voluminous headdress. She is wearing a light-coloured blouse which is having two dark, polka-dotted stripes. She is putting her left hand at her waist.

Wetzel, Johannes Martin Erhard, born in 1878 in Groß-Milkau (Germany), was a merchant and served in a mission in South Africa East from 1902 to 1912. He married Maria Lydia Brückner and retired from the mission service in 1912.
