Photograph of men standing on and around a 32-foot long shark caught by Peter Borcich in San Pedro, ca.1885. The shark's corpse is stretched out on the dusty ground while a man stands on top of it. A group of men and boys in suits stand around it, marveling. Several onlookers sit on the fence in the background. Handwriting on the image reads "Shark: 32 feet long, Weight 7 ton or 14000 lbs.".
