Photograph caption dated October 4, 1958 reads, "Missilemen and their work - Tin-helmeted Rocketdyne employe [sic] leaves company's engine runup facility on Leuham Ridge. Valley firm tests its largest rocket engines here where desert absorbs sound. Men in photograph at right are preparing to move big missile part with dangling hoist. Missiles are shipped in by pieces and assembled before they are tested under pre-flight conditions. Rocketdyne's big million-pound thrust engine will be tested here instead of Valley."
