Description
A card of Knee-Hi, a terrier dog that helped teach safety rules to schoolchildren. She was the granddaughter of the original Knee-Hi, who began her career in Philadelphia, and these three generations of dogs have taught across the United States and Canada ever since. She did a program each day at two different schools in the Sacramento area for ten weeks, covering most of the elementary and junior high schools in the region. Her presentation was with psychologist and former school principal Dr. George E. Brunson. She was sponsored by the Sacramento Bee and the radio station KFBK. The card features a picture of Knee-Hi with safety rules, while the back has a pledge, with spots for parent and pupil signatures. It is signed by the student Susette Skow.
