Description
Althea Spencer Miller is Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies at Scripps College. In this lecture, she offers an introduction to the New Testament, which she prefers to refer to as "Christian Scriptures" to be respectful to the Jewish tradition. She speaks on those elements that refer to inclusivity and exclusivity, but confesses it was more difficult for her to find places of scripture that refer to inclusivity, given the preponderance of exclusive writing in the Christian Scriptures and the ways in which this exclusivity has been used toward ill in the world.
