Mural painted in February 2001 by Susan Krieg, titled "Home of the Peach". It is of a large monarch butterfly surrounded by peach trees and people harvesting, done in acrylic. The mural is located along the Chandler corridor where it borders Satsuma. Susan Krieg is known for her mixed-media collage paintings, but she is skilled in multiple artistic genres, including murals, oil painting as well as watercolors. Krieg has produced over two-dozen murals in the L.A. area; often painting them in blighted areas, where her public art pieces have transform entire neighborhoods. She has seen much success in her 13-year artistic career; her art has been exhibited across the country and has sold more than 1,000 paintings. A Fargo, North Dakota native, Krieg attended the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and after relocating from New York four years ago, now has her own studio in North Hollywood's NoHo district.
