Photograph caption dated July 17, 1964 reads, "Robert Christopher, left, administrator of Shelter Isle Convalescent Hospital, and Mary Head, medicine nurse, greet Dr. Thomas P. Weil, right, of University of California School of Public Health, and Dr. Ralph Sachs, associate clinical professor of Public Health, during symposium." The symposium was held at the Shelter Isle Convalescent Hospital located at 8050 Woodman Ave., Panorama City.
