Description
When cooks, trusty prisoners, at the Lincoln Heights jail went on strike to get days off, Jailer John Shand locked them up and recruited a new bunch of cooks from his charges. He is pictured guiding some of his new kitchen talent in culinary arts. Photo dated: July 20, 1929.
