General Fremont is pictured from his upper torso to his head and is turned slightly to the right. He is wearing a dark jacket, dark tie, and white shirt. He has curly medium length hair that is parted at center. He has a short beard and mustache as well. The portrait is signed "Yours truly, J. C. Fremont".
